Walks in Riva ׀ Walks in Arco
	Walks in Torbole-Nago: THE PROMENADE TORBOLE-RIVA  from the harbour in Torbole follow the shore until the mouth of the river Sarca; walk along the left side of the river till the bridge, cross it and go back to the lake along the right embankment. The walk continues to the right along the lake until the centre of Riva del Garda. (4 km, about 1 hour).   THE PROMENADE TORBOLE-ARCO  Starting from the bridge of Torbole you can walk on the cycling track along the river Sarca till Arco. It's a nice walk (about 6 kilometres) through luxuriant mediterranean vegetation: olive trees, vineyards and oleanders. (About 2 hours). Return is possible by bus.   THE RUINS OF CASTLE PENEDE  From Piazza Vittorio Veneto in the centre of Torbole an asphalted road (ca.1 km) leads to Nago. Near the tennis court the street turns right and continues across a park to the ruines of castle Penede. Here you will enjoy a breathtaking view over Lake Garda and the green plain of the Sarca valley. (3 Km. about 1 hour). BUSATTE PARK - NAGO  From the panoramic steps behind the tourist office a 1 Km asphalted road rises along the hill till the park Busatte. In the pine-wood around the sporting centre there is a nice fitness path. Otherwise a second path starting from the parking leads to Dosso Tenin and the village of Nago. We suggest you to have a rest by the panoramic point with benches to enjoy the beautiful view over the village, the harbour and the lake below. (3 Km, 2 hours).   SANTA LUCIA ROAD From Piazza Vittorio Veneto going up along Via Pontalti, turn right at the cross and then straight on direction St. Lucia Valley. This path was the ancient connection between lake Garda and the Adige valley. In the sorrounding area there are olive groves cultivations. (3 Km.; 2 hours). You can go back to Torbole either from the old road (Strada Vecchia di Nago) or through the path coming from the Busatte sporting centre.  THE GLACIAL BASINS  These glacial basins were formed by the erosive action of the Ice Age glaciers. They are situated along the side of the main road which goes from Torbole to Nago. You can reach these interesting erosions following the sign "Marmitte dei Giganti" at the end of Via Strada Granda. The path rises up till these walls. (1,5 Km.; 1 hour)
