Between the 800s and the 900s, at the end of the summer season, several guests coming from the middle European élite met in the marvellous valley of the Upper Garda, now Trentino, to enjoy the mild and beneficial climate. Whoever took advantage of this delightful period, devoted his time to treating himself by taking advantages of the famous Traubenkur or rather "grape-cure". Even if at that time, amongst the splendours of the Hapsburgian Court one tried to improve one’s health with natural product, we find that it is even more of a necessity nowadays to detoxicate the body and mind in a perfect environment. Traubenkur is a grape-cure, a dietetic regime of great therapeutic value; and the Garda trentino surrounded by its splendid nature invites one to rest, take sport and have fun. The Traubenkur proposed by the APT Garda trentino is completely free of charge for the guests in the hotels which agree to the initiative. Besides the distribution of finely selected grapes and must in many spots and hotels of our area, you can also participate to guided visits between nature and culture, be amused by various entertainments and taste wines, brandies and sparkling wine of Trentino with an expert sommelier during an exhibition organized at the Casino, because the grape-cure is for us also "cure of our hospitality”.
